§ 2.24.030. Reserve police officers possessing a Level I Reserve Officers' Certificate continued in office.

  • Pursuant to the provisions of Section 832.6(b) of the California Penal Code, each of the reserve officers of the Fillmore police department to whom there has been issued a Level I Reserve Officer Certificate by the commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training before January 1, 1981, shall have the full powers and duties of a peace officer as provided by Section 830.1 of the Penal Code if, in the case of each such officer, the chief of police has determined that the person is to be qualified to perform general law enforcement duties by reason of the officer's training and experience. Suchdetermination by the police chief shall be indicated by a writing placed in the personnel records of the reserve officer concerned.
